Agnieszka Stadnicka
Agnieszka Stadnicka’s painting proceeds by subtraction. A limited palette, understated forms, and the tension between light and darkness, presence and silence, which is never resolved. Her large oil paintings have an almost silent presence that forces the eye to slow down.
Xavier Vanlaere
Xavier Vanlaere builds his artworks the way one accumulates memories: in layers, by accident, by withdrawal. Paint, lime, sand, fragments of glued-on paper. Blue appears everywhere, the blue of the sea, the blue of the North. Each artwork carries its own archaeology.
