Overview
Agnieszka Stadnicka's painting takes the form of an inner dialogue and a spiritual practice. Inspired by depth psychology, she explores the realms of the unconscious and the processes of inner transformation, using color and matter as tools for conveying emotion.
Her artworks stem from a fascination with the tensions between light and darkness, presence and silence, fullness and emptiness. In the restraint of her forms and a deliberately limited palette, she does not seek ornamentation but a space for experience, integration, and attention.
My view
I chose her in June 2026.
What moves me about Agnieszka is the restraint with which she approaches subjects as dense as the unconscious and inner transformation. She does not seek ornamentation, she sets up a space where light and darkness, presence and silence, answer one another without ever resolving. Her deliberately limited palette gives each canvas an almost silent presence that invites you to slow down your looking.
